HOW WE STARTED


BILL’S AUTO CLINIC, INC. is the Winston-Salem area’s most trusted family-oriented auto repair shop. We desire to help make your car more efficient and dependable. Our family-owned business was founded on Christian values and the belief that our customers’ safety and convenience are of the utmost importance.


We offer all mechanical services for personal and commercial fleet vehicles, courtesy shuttles, and pickup/delivery services for your convenience, all backed by a 2-year and 24,000-mile nationwide warranty. Our mechanics have almost 50 years of experience providing full-service auto repair and preventative maintenance. We are honest, and we take pride in providing our customers with accurate information about the condition of their cars without sugarcoating or dancing around the issue.

THE ENVIRONMENT


Our commitment spans various practices—we reuse printed paper in our office.  We contract with outside companies to recycle oil and fluids from maintenance services.  In our shop, we resurface brake rotors whenever it is safe (within manufacturer's specifications) and cost-effective for our customers. We work with Toyota and other hybrid vehicle manufacturers to recycle hybrid batteries and components. We follow all EPA guidelines when handling chemical and other types of waste materials.  We aspire to minimize landfill waste and decrease our carbon footprint as much as possible.


Our shuttle vehicles and some of our personal vehicles are now hybrid electric Toyota Prius and Lexus RX400H units with reconditioned hybrid batteries. Some of them have new remanufactured hybrid batteries.

Bill's Auto Clinic, Inc. & Hybrid Shop of the Triad love our community and all the people in it.  We have partnered with The Christian Car Guy, Mr. Robby Dilmore, who is a nationally syndicated radio and podcast journalist with the purpose of "Bringing the Kingdom of God through an Automotive Platform" to help listeners learn more about their cars, maintain them better, and keep them running longer.  His shows are informative and entertaining from Classic Car Guy Jokes to Bible Studies, Prayer to The Christian Car Guy Theater.  Robby and our staff have joined forces to help single mothers, widows, families in crisis, veterans, and others through The Jesus Labor of Love Program.  You can help us in this effort to show the love of Christ to those in need by donating financially, physically, or by donating your car (running or not) (and get a tax deduction!!)  Visit ChristianCarGuy.com or Jesuslaboroflove.com to learn more.




We are currently in the initial planning stages of Chariots of Fire-Cars for Our Community, a nonprofit organization inspired by the model of Wheels 4 Hope. Our vision involves engaging the resources of various groups, including students and interns from Forsyth Tech, individuals participating in Forsyth County’s Second Chance Work Release program, and apprentice mechanics.


These individuals will work under the guidance of our experienced master mechanics to repair donated cars from community members, who can then claim tax deductions. This approach not only facilitates valuable learning experiences for these technicians but also contributes to the overall benefit of all parties involved. We hope to see our not-for-profit program help people of all ages and from all walks of life in Winston-Salem, NC.

We truly care about our customers as individuals. Our first concern is our people.  Customers at BILL'S AUTO CLINIC, INC. & HYBRID SHOP OF THE TRIAD ARE FAMILY.  Your safety on the road is our top priority.  We want to work with you to make taking care of your car easy every step of the way. Our whole staff is on your side.  Your car has to work efficiently and reliably to keep you safe, so no matter what issues you are concerned about, every vehicle that comes to our shop receives a 26 point inspection to ensure all systems are functioning well. It is our basic responsibility to educate you about the condition of your vehicle, to advise you on what needs repair or maintenance to extend the life of your car, and to help you schedule those jobs prioritized by what is needed now and what can wait for budgeting or convience concerns. 


For example, you bring your baby in for noisy brakes, we fix the brakes, you leave the shop with new brakes and no noise, but at the next stop light...blue and red lights flash in your rearview mirror.  The traffic officer asks you if you were aware that your brake lights aren't working.  You answer, "No, but I should have since I just left the repair shop!"


For your convenience, try our "Whistle while you work" service.  We offer free shuttle, pickup and delivery, or drop off service.  While we have a cozy waiting area with complementary coffee, tea, water, candy, clean restroom, charging station for your devices, Wi-Fi, books and toys for the kiddos and treats for your pets, we don't want you to have to miss work, or even a day off of work to sit in our lobby waiting.  We understand life is hectic and car repair isn't exciting to most folks.  Let us help keep you on schedule by getting you and your car where you need to be. *No charge within 25 miles of our shop.  **Must arrange shuttle or pickup when scheduling your appointment at least 24 hours in advance, so that we can have a driver available.



We engage in comprehensive hybrid battery pack replacement and core recycling. We also meticulously rebuild and reuse all high-quality components, replacing parts only when necessary. Our process includes rigorous road testing in our vehicles, simulating real-world stressors and driving scenarios.


Moreover, we extend our commitment by offering a warranty program that covers all of our services, parts, labor, and hybrid battery replacements.  This is in stark contrast to dealerships, which often provide a mere one-year warranty in most cases.

Who We Are

Bill has over 50 years of experience in the industry. He was previously employed as a mechanic by manufacturer dealerships. Bill has an impressive background as a former Dodge five-star technician, and his expertise is evident in the quality of work he provides at BILL'S AUTO CLINIC. Although he has numerous certificates and licenses to his name, he prefers to let his work speak for itself.


On the other hand, Wendy is our marketing director. She is responsible for employee services and continuing education for all staff members, clients, and vehicle shuttle service providers.

Hi, I'm Alex.


I have been with Bill's Auto Clinic, Inc., for a little over two months now. It has been a pleasure working here. It has been a great experience to be part of a family-owned and operated shop. Being in a shop that shares my loyalty and family values is nice. I enjoy meeting new people and joking around every day. That is a big plus of working at the front counter.


I was born and raised in the corporate side of the automotive industry. I have done everything from automotive repair to automotive refinishing. Some of my work has been featured in magazines and publications like Hot Rod, Dub, Rides, Easy Riders, and many others. When I am not at work, you can find my family and me at the go-kart racing track or enjoying shore fishing together.
